Requirements
A sole proprietorship can be removed from the Commercial Register if one of the following conditions applies:
- Business operations have ceased or were never commenced
- Annual turnover is less than 100,000 Swiss francs
- The business is being transferred
- The owner has died
To have the business deleted, simply file a notice with the Commercial Registry Office stating the reason for deletion. A complex liquidation process, as required for a stock corporation (AG) or a limited liability company (GmbH), is not necessary.
