Think about what problem your business solves and who your customers are. Determine whether there is a real market for your idea.

Contact startup programs, such as Ahead for a free initial consultation of up to 90 minutes or the IFJ for practical courses.

Use Ahead’s Startbox or the checklists from other programs to proceed in a structured manner.
 

Develop a business plan that includes a market analysis, financial planning, and an implementation strategy. You can find support services through startup programs or, for example, at the Zürcher Kantonalbank .

Determine your legal structure.
 

Determine how you will finance your business. Ahead offers microloans of up to CHF 40,000. In addition, all organizations provide access to funding sources and mentors.

Determine which permits are required for your industry. Learn about social insurance (Old Age and Survivors’ Insurance (AHV), Disability Insurance (IV), and occupational pension plans). Review lease agreements, insurance policies, and other legal requirements.
